On this picture are seen Alexandrine parakeets in a cage in the Casela Park at Black River. The Alexandrine Parakeet is native from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Southeast Asia and India. The Alexandrine Parakeet having for binomial name Psittacula eupatria is a parrot. In their natural environment the parakeets like to live in the forest and open woodland. Usually they have a green color and have a height between fifty six and sixty two cm and their tail can have a length of thirty five cm. This parakeet species is usually noisy, there scream are close to the Rose-ringed parakeet just a little deeper. As the Casela Park is especially a bird park you will discover different bird species in this park but there are also other animals as monkeys, tortoises and tigers.
