Pamplemousses Garden renamed in 1988 as Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanical Gardens in honour of the man who let the island to independence, located in Pamplemousses in the North of Mauritius, nearby Port Louis. A beautiful botanical garden where you can find water lilies. It is said that Pamplemusses (which also a fruit in Mauritius) got its name from a citrus plant imported from the Dutch called Pamplemoucier.
