In the Casela Park, you will discover the albino or white kangaroos; they are nice little white kangaroos with red eyes. Albinism is an absence of pigmentation or coloration; it affects the skin, the eyes and the hair. Albinism comes from the latin word “albus” meaning white. The most common word used for albinism is albino. Albinism can be found in all animal species and also in persons. The kangaroos are native from Australia and the tree kangaroo is from New Guinea. They make part of the marsupial family which includes around forty five species as the wallaby, wallaroos, tree kangaroo and much more. It is said that the word kangaroo (gangurru) comes from Guugu Yimidhirr, which is an aboriginal language from Australia.Kangaroos are herbivores, eating grasses and roots, they normally do not chew their food, they just swallow it but then later on they will throw it up again and chew it. Kangaroos are sometimes considered as pest because they destroy roots from trees and plants. The kangaroo is a red meat, it has a strong taste, not much fat but rich in iron, it was for the indigenous Australians a way to feed them.
