Maheshwar is is one of the name of Lord Shiva but is also a town in India. Maheshwar is located in the district of Khargone. The town is located near the Narmada River in India. In Hindi language Maheshwar means “abode of Lord Mahesh”. The beliefs of Hindus are mainly in Vishnu, Mahesh and Brahma a trinity who created the Universe. In the story it is said that Vishnu looks after the universe and Shivji destroys it, Brahma is the one who helps to create the universe again. Shivji and Parvati were married on the night of Maha Shivaratri. Shivji is called by Hindus “Bhola” which means innocent. Shivji is considered as the Lord of time and carries on his crown the moon, he also loves animals and snakes are his ornaments. When the Hindus pray Shivji they often say “Om Namah Shivaaya”.
